At Rozenne Yarns, we believe handmade already starts with a different way of thinking. You choose your yarn, spend time with every stitch and create something that can stay with you for years. For us, sustainability is connected to this idea of making more carefully and choosing better where possible.
We are still a growing yarn brand, and we know there is always more to improve. Our approach is simple: make thoughtful choices, work closely with our production partners and build yarn collections that people truly enjoy using, instead of following every short-term trend.
Every yarn has a different purpose, and we select fibers according to how the final yarn should feel, perform and be used. Natural fibers such as cotton, merino wool and alpaca have an important place in our collections, while some yarns use carefully selected blended fibers for softness, strength or better durability.
In selected products, we also work with recycled materials when they are suitable for the yarn and its intended use. We do not believe one material is the answer for everything. Our goal is to find a good balance between quality, comfort, durability and the way makers actually use the yarn.
Knitting and crochet takes time. A sweater can take weeks, a blanket maybe months, and even a small amigurumi carries the hours spent making it.
This is why we focus on yarns designed for real projects and regular use. Good color choices, comfortable textures and dependable yarn quality can help handmade pieces stay loved for longer. We think creating something you want to keep, wear or gift again and again is an important part of a more considered way of making.
Our yarn collections are developed with experienced production partners and manufacturers. We pay attention to fiber composition, yarn structure, color and the overall knitting or crochet experience before adding a yarn to the Rozenne collection.
All of our yarns are certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, depending on the product. You can find the relevant certification information directly on each yarn's product page.
We prefer being clear about each yarn instead of making one general claim for every product.
We continue to review the way our products are packed and shipped. Our aim is to use packaging that protects the yarn properly without adding unnecessary materials where it can be avoided.
As Rozenne Yarns grows, packaging and shipping choices will remain one of the areas we continue to improve.
We are not here to say that everything is perfect. Sustainability is a long process, especially in textile and yarn production, and there are many details behind every fiber, dye and finished skein.
What we can do is keep asking questions, make better choices when they are available and be open about the materials used in our yarns.
Rozenne Yarns is still at the beginning of its story. We want to grow with care, listen to the makers using our yarns and continue improving one collection at a time.
Because what we make matters. And how we make it matters too.
